The Free Centrist State of Derryounce

Disclaimer: Some names in the following paragraphs are Pseudonyms until the person behind the name gives their consent to be properly named.

The Free Centrist State of Derryounce, more commonly known as Derryounce, is a micronation in Ireland. Founded on July 4th 2025 by Park Ranger Frisky, The Micronation takes up all of Derryounce of Derryounce, which is a former bog that has been left mostly untouched for years. The idea of the Micronation was created when Frisky got into a debate over how the government should be ran, and he and his friend, Herj, decided that a centrist government where people of all political beliefs should debate on topics regarding the state and how it should be ran. Eventually they both came up with “The Magenta Party“, a twist on the Blue and Red parties of the USA. The Micronation will be a place where the centrist party can be ran freely to give an example for the rest of the world on how governments should be ran. This type of Centrist Political Ideology is called “Magenta Centrism”.

The National animal/Symbol of Derryounce is The Deer, as it is the most common animal found in Derryounce. The flag features the colours Dark Green and Magenta. The Dark Green represents the forests of Derryounce, and the Magenta represents the Magenta Centrist Party that rules Derryounce. There is more Dark Green on top of the Magenta to symbolise The Magenta Party being the foundations that make Derryounce work. The Emblem in the centre was created by Park Citizen “Fizzy”. The 2 Deer are the national symbol/animal of Derryounce. The first flag of Derryounce is still used as the logo of The Magenta Party. The National Anthem is “Shine on You crazy Diamond Part 1” – Pink Floyd + edited by Frisky. The National Motto is “Derryounce for Any, Derryounce for All” , written by The Duff of Uhopia. All Park Observers are referred to as “Derryouncers”, however, a Derryouncer is also a new term for someone from the Irish Bogs and Forests of the Midlands, if they wish to refer to themselves as such. The term was inspired by the term “Boers”, the group of White South Africans with Dutch Ancestry, as Frisky is born and raised in the Irish Midlands but has Polish ancestors, so “Derryouncer” is what he refers to himself, as it’s the only place he’s 100% from. At the time of writing this, Frisky is the only one who refers to his ethnicity as Derryouncer. The National Dish of Derryounce are Kebabs.

Derryounce declared independence on July 4th 2025, Frisky announced it himself on the now ended “Moanvane Settlement”. The original Micronation was just The Western Forest of The Derryounce District and it was just 1 District total at 1.1km squared. A few days later The Micronation was expanded (Modern Borders are 5.99km2 as of recent) and Split into 3 Territories: Cushina, Derryounce, and Barrow. Each Territory got it’s own flag which can be seen below. Derryounce is also divided into 2 Administrative Territories: 3.28km squared (54.7%) of the land is part of the “Orange Territory”, which is the land fully administered by The Free Centrist State of Derryounce. The remaining area is part of the “Red Territory”, areas administered by both The Republic of Ireland and Derryounce. The full map can also be seen on the official government website.

The Centrist Party in charge of the Micronation is called “The Magenta Party”, a mix of the famous American Blue and Red political parties. There are only 4 roles in the government, Park Ranger, Vice Park Ranger, Park Citizen, and Park Observer.

The Park Ranger is in charge of representing Derryounce, establishing new Diplomatic Relations and making sure everything is in order.

The Vice Park Ranger’s role is to help out The Park Ranger and represent Derryounce while The Park Ranger is unavailable. The current Vice Park Ranger is named “Auga”.

The Park Observer’s are everybody who are in any way involved in Derryounce, whether that be being a friendly Micronation or just being part of The Citizen’s Parliament (Discord Server).

The Park Citizen’s are Park Observer’s who follow ”’Act 1”’ and visit Derryounce often. All of the Park Citizen’s have the opportunity to become members of The Magenta Party by simply asking The Park Ranger.

The Park Ranger is the only one who gives out Park Citizenship and the role of Park Citizen to Derryounce’s Park Observers. The Park Ranger is Frisky and temporarily only The Park Ranger decides when it’s time to change Park Rangers.

The Park Citizens debate on topics such as law of the Micronation, with each debate ending in a compromise of all political sides, to assure that everybody in Derryounce will be happy with new laws. The Park Citizens can start debates over new laws whenever they please by setting the time and date of a debate, and whatever Park Citizens chooses to take part will go to the debate. To become a Park Citizen, you have to be a Park Observer, ask The Park Ranger for Citizenship, and follow Act 1 (starting 2026).

Every 10 Weeks since Independence, Derryounce has a 10 Week Review of the previous 70 days, and outlines the future for the next 10 Weeks. Each Members of Derryounce also has a badge based on their role, which can be viewed below.

Since the closure of The Official Derryounce Online Store, The Free Centrist State, Citizens Parliaments, Magenta Party, Derryouncer’s Exploring Club, Irish Micronation Organisation and other Organisations connected to the Micronation operate as Non-Profit Organisations.

The Micronation is split into 2 Administrative Territories as mentioned earlier. The most important Orange Territories are the 2 Biggest one’s: Cushina Forest and Western Forest. If you wish to Construct anything for Derryounce, as explained in Act 3, it is recommended you do in in those 2 Areas.

The Micronation is also divided into 2 other Territories, The “Orange Territory” and the “Red Territory”. The Orange Territory are areas fully administered by The Free Centrist State of Derryounce, while the Red Territory is administered by both The Republic of Ireland and The Free Centrist State of Derryounce. The Orange Territory is 3.28 km squared, and takes up 54.7% of Derryounce, while the Red Territory is 2.71km squared, and takes up the remaining 45.3% of Derryounce. The most important Orange Territories are the 2 Biggest one’s: Cushina Forest and Western Forest. All 3 “Buildings” (Derryounce, Barrow, Cushina) and “Top Point” are included as Orange Territories. If you wish to Construct anything for Derryounce, as explained in Act 3, it is recommended you do in in those 3 Areas.
